Dem in New Mexico
Oh, happy day!
Steve Pearce, right winged wako from southern New Mexico has announced that he will give up his seat in the US House to run for New Mexico's vacant Senate seat. This means several things:
- there are now two vacant House seats in New Mexico
- Heather Wilson, not loved by the knuckle dragging Republicans in New Mexico, will have to face their beloved, very conservative Steve Pearce in a primary. Wilson, who has made much of her name by appearing as a "centrist", will now face the need to move to the right for the primary next June.
Many believe that Steve can beat Heather in a Republican Primary. For those of us who would like to see another Dem in the Senate this is a very happy day.
